Henry Ernest Browning born 1873 in Holloway, London was a 19 year old Potter when he joined the Royal Fusiliers numbered 4541 on 28th Dec 1892. He joined the 2nd battalion and was a good soldier climbing up the ranks, L/Cpl in Jun 1898, Cpl 1899 and finally Sjt Mar 1902 in South Africa. He was sent to East Indies in 1894 for 7 years, Burma for a year and then finally South Africa in Feb 1902 till Sept 1902 and home for he was discharged Dec 1904 after 12 years service.
