WW1 British War Medal named 3470 PTE W MILLER R HIGHRS.

William Miller born 1898 in Errol, Perth, was the Son of William & Isabella Miller of Myreside Farm, Errol, Perth. He enlisted into the 2nd Black Watch numbered 3470 and then renumbered 266185. He was serving in Palestine when he either became sick or was wounded in action. He was evacuated from Egypt on HMAHS Karoola but died at sea on 27th Oct 1918 aged 29 years old. He is remembered on the Chatby Memorial, Egypt. He is noted as serving also in France.
