WW1 1914/15 Trio Pte Hobson 2/5th Lancashire Fusiliers

James Hobson was born in Christchurch, Manchester in 1895 and joined the Lancashire Fusiliers in Nov 1912 numbered 1377. In civilain life he was a blacksmith and joined up aged 17. He landed inFrance on 4th May 1915 with the 2/5th Lancashire Fusiliers and was renumbered 200157and stayed there till 25th Oct 1918. It seems in early July he was working in the transport area as a driver and was kicked from a horse and damaged his hip. He got treatment in France but by Oct he could no longer walk and was shipped home and eventually discharged as no longer fit.
