Normal Lee Oddy born 22nd Dec 1887 in Manchester and lived at 16a Charlotte Street, Manchester, he was a life insurance agent. He enlisted into the 9th Royal Scots numbered 2716 before being granted a commission in the 13th Lancashire Fusiliers in 1915. He was attached to the 3rd Battalion in April 1915 and then the 7th Entrenching Battalion on 29th July 1915 when he landed in France. On 15th Dec 1915 he was sent home suffering with Trench Fever and Typhoid infection. He was a Temp Capt in the 11th Leicestershire Regt while commanding a Company and was Capt and Adjutant with the Brigade as their Musketry Officer. He left the army on 22nd March 1919.
