BWM, VM & Plaque DOW 13/1/1918 Pte Ellis 7 RW Kent

British War & Victory Medals named 205607 PTE F B ELLIS R W KENT R.WW1 Memorial Plaque named FRED BROOKE ELLIS. This has been drilled twice for mounting.Two original photos of Fred with his fellow soldiers and his early grave.Fred joined the 4th York & Lancs in training on Dec 1915 but transferred to the 7th Royal West Kent regiment.He was living at Back lane,Batty Ford, Mirfield at the time and was 35 years old.He Landed in France on 7th July but is listed as died of wounds – Gun Shot Wounds to neck in 14th General Hospital on 13th Jan 1918.Service papers are online.
