Peter born in 1887 Old Meldrum, Aberdeen. Joined Navy as Boy 2nd Class in 1905 aged 18.WW1 he was a Leading Seaman on HMS Princess Royal till Aug 1915. She served in the Battle of Heligoland Bight. She was sent to block the Panama Canal and then took part in the Battle of Dogger Bank where she hit the German SMS Bulcher.Next he was home on Victory till Sept 1915 when he joined the RNAS, HMS Excellent till May 1916 on HMS Daealus as a POM. He went to Howden in July 1916 which was where the Airships were based. He transferred to the RAF at some stage but left in 1931.
