Egypt Medal no clasp named W E BULL ERA HMS EURYALUS.Victorian Naval Long Service & Good Conduct Medal named W E BULL ENG RM ARTIFR HMS ASIA.Khedives Star 1884 no naming.Walter born in Portsmouth in 1851 trade as Boilermaker joined the Royal Navy on 22 July 1875 as Assistant Engine Room Artificer. His first ship was HMS Asia till 1877 based in home waters. Then HMS Rover till May 1879 back to Asia till Nov 1879, Warrior till April 81, Hercules till Apr 1882, back to Asia till Sept 82, Euphrates till Nov 1882 and finally HMS Eurgalus till July 1885 where he earned the Egypt Medal no clasp and the Khedives Star for services in that War.He is back to HMS Asia where he earns the Long Service Medal on 1st Oct 1885, made Chief ERA in March 1886 and leaves the ship in May 1886. In June 1885 Capt Hastings mentions him for being a good boilermaker, probably why he is promoted.He is on various ships ( Valorrus,Asia,Tumor,Bellerphon,Hercules,Northumberland, Alexandria, Boadicia,Victory II, Excellent, Lauranga & Duke of Wellington) till Aug 1900 when he is pensioned off.
