Roger James Wimbleton would have enlisted into the Royal Navy before 1966 to earn the GSM as a Writer. We next pick him up in April 1975 as an Acting Sub Lieutenant being confirmed as a Sub Lieutenant 6th May 1974. May 1977 becomes a Lt. Aug 1985 he is a Lt who retires at his own request from Special Duty List and is put on the Royal Naval Reserve.

There is a obituary for him living in Portchester, died aged 72 on 23rd March 2017. One of his old shipmates while on HMS Ark Royal states they served together on her during 1969/70.
