William Edward Hearn born in Basildon, Berkshire in 1876 was a 25 year old Postman when he enlisted 15th Battalion 58th (Berkshire) Company Imperial Yeomanry into the numbered 26316 on 13rd Feb 1901. After training he was sent to South Africa as a Cpl on 1st Mar 1901 till 2nd Aug 1902 and then back to UK till 9th Aug 1902 when he was discharged.
