Harry Jacobs born 10th Feb 1887 lived in Ventnor, Isle of Wight and was a decorator when he enlisted into the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserves on 30th Jan 1915 numbered Z/1345. He first joined Collingwood Battalion for his training and then transferred on 9th May 1915 to the Hood Battalion. He was sent to India and then France. On 5th Feb 1917, he was killed in action as an Acting Petty Officer during the Operations of River Ancre.
