Frank Harrison born in Morland, Sowersby Bridge, North Yorkshire to Harry and Sibby Ann Harrison of Morland. He enlisted into the 2/7th Royal Scots numbered 4602 on 3rd Oct 1916 aged only 18 years old. After training he was sent to the 2nd Battalion numbered 301987 and landed in France on 2nd June 1917. He was seriously wounded in action on 26th Sept 1917 near Etaples – Gun Shot Wound leg and stomach and was sent back to the UK. After getting better he was transferred to the 13th Battalion and sent to France again on 2nd April 1918.
On the 28th May 1918 while at stationed at Stirling Camp he was killed in action while on the ranges. He was in D Coy which was trying to coming in from it , the enemy shelled the area and unfortunately an HE shell burst in the middle of the section killing 3 and wounding 13.
Frank was only 20 years old when he was killed in action and is buried Duisans British Cemetry, Etrun.
