George Vincent Rugen Son of Mr & Mrs H E Rugen of 42 Curate Road, Clubmoor, Liverpool born in 1898 in Liverpool. He enlisted into the 2nd South Wales Borderers and is noted as being Killed in Action on 11th April 1918 in France. He was assumed missing till the Germans confirmed he was killed which was declared in Oct 1918. He is not listed as a Prisoner of War. He was only 19 years old and is remembered on the Ploegsteert Memorial.

His brother Frederick was killed in action with the 17th Liverpool Regiment on 31st July 1917.
